Hey guys, I just purchased my first batch of Kalkwasser today in attempt to get my Calcium up and also to nuke some Dinoflagellates. As per instructions on the container I combined two teaspoons of the stuff with 2 gallons of water and mixed vigorously. I let it sit from 3pm till about 10:30pm today. I just came home to add it to my doser when I realized that the *clear* liquid I was supposed to siphon from between the top layer and the deposits on the bottom isn't exactly *clear*. Did I not wait long enough?

I used RO water in the process as well.

I decided to add about 8 cups more water and stir it like a mot*er f*ck*r and I'll check it in the morning.

Is something wrong, or did I just not wait long enough?

Thanks guys,

Jeff O'Neill

let it sit for 2 hrs is enough time regardless of how it looks. Don't dose the solids on the bottom. To make it easier, i use a 5 gallon bucket with a airhose comming out about an inch from the bottom. Let it settle and draw from there.
