Trying to Reduce Electric Bill

Additionally I reduced my lighting photoperiod by 2 hours per halide (from a total of 4) by staggering the start times better and running them less. My color and growth increased when I did this - not sure why.

Jim, you were running total of 4 hours each or 4 hours total with staggering?

I had 4 halides that I reduced 2 hours each - I used to have 2 come on at the same time and then the second 2 - but then I staggered them one at a time to give me a 4 hour max time (all 4 halides) and wind down towards the end of the evening.

I used to have 2 come on for 8 hours and 2 others for an additional 8

1-9pm and 3-11pm

I changed it to 3-9 and 5-11 - as you can see, they were on all at the same time from 5-9 (max viewing time for family, visitors ect) and from 9-11 for me to enjoy the color etc.
