Caulerpa Acclimation

How long should I let caulerpa acclimate before adding it to the refugium?

How long of a lighting period do you allow for your caulerpa? Also, do you use the reverse lighting method for your refugium?

Any help would be apprciated.

i just slam it in there and run the lights 24/7. it grows like crazy.

I had read somewhere that you should acclimate caulerpa very slowly to keep it from breaking down and dissolving. Also that it was very sensitive to temp changes.

Do all caulerpa have basically the same requirements?

I aclimated my caulerpa for about a half hour before adding it the the refugium. I don't know if that was completely necessary, but what the heck, I had the time. I run the reverse daylight cycle myself (about 12 hours on/off), but some people run then 24/7.
