I´m trying to figure out what will be the essential first AID kit to have in home. I´m setting up my first reef tank and what to be sure to have if possible everything on hand if needed. It is impossible for me to get things fast if any problem emerges because where I live.
So don´t be shy...contribute to the list..you can mention dry goods, medice, aditives, etc...

For me its band-aids and neosporin/bag balm. I've burned my arm about a half dozen times on the damn MH bulb.

It is nothing short of negligence for a reefer to not have a bottle of garlic extract (Kayolic) in the fridge.
Ich always in spotted just after the stores close.

Vinegar or lemon juice is handy for dissolving bristles when you get stuck by a worm. Trust me, I know.

Oxy-Clean - I use it to clean my aquarium tools, buckets, water storage containers, hands (esp. after touching xenia). It is safe as it is a mixture of sodium carbonate and hydrogen peroxide. Great stuff. See Dr. Randy HF's thread on this:

Percarbonates

Small clip on fans and a couple blocks of wood for elevating your canopy in case of canopy fan failure and/or heat waves

A good sized bottle of ruubing alcohol to clean your hands with and a decent supply of salt for those times when something goes wrong and you have to do an emergency water change to correct it.
