I'm buying a 180 gallon and will be using the tank as a divider between the living room and the dining room. Because you'll be able to walk all the way around it, I don't want the overflows to be in the corners or showing on the sides of the tank. I'm thinking about having the LFS drill some holes in the center (or maybeand making my own overflows out of grey PVC. I'll probably also need another hole for electrical cords to drop down through.
So does anyone out there have any experience with designing a tank like this? The goal is to have everything contained within the tank and below in the stand with no visible cords (except for the one that goes from the stand to the wall).
I'm also wondering what the best way to cirulate water through this tank is--maybe through a closed loop (with more holes in the bottom? If I do that, how will I various current (like you could with a wavemaker?)
