I have plus series 40 gallon trickle filter along with my reef ready 75g tank. Wondered if anyone had a good suggestion on how go to a reef set up.
Thanks,
Whitey
I use one on my reef, I just took the bioballs out. It provides for an excellent area of agitation for the water and provides a great place for tube worms to grow like crazy. I can't see through the area where the water pours into before flowing over the drip plate because of all the calcerous tube worms that have grown there over the years. It also provides for a little added filtration, as the worms filter out particulate matter, as do the sponges and pods that live in the filter.
