I am looking at buying my first reef book, and was wondering if this one was worth buying;
The Natural Reef Aquarium
Simplified Approaches to Creating Living Saltwater Microcosms
copyright 1997 by John H. Tullock, 336 page softcover, 9x8.5

It's a good book. One of the two I usually recommend (the other being Bob Fenner's "Conscientious Marine Aquarist").

I bought this book when I was first starting out and I would highly reccomend it. The other I would reccomend is Ron Shimek "Coral Reef Aquarium" that is just my opinion.

Excellent book. It is the first book I typically recomend, and is the one I always go back to.

Tullock actually owned an LFS in town here in Knoxville.

Bob Fenner's book is great. I come back to it again and again. Good common sense advice.

Slightly off topic - Scott Michael's 500+ book is great for those trips to the LFS.
