The Blue stars are such beautiful creatures but was just concerned to make sure mine is getting enough food. I have read posts that suggest that they can often slowly starve to death in an aquarium. Can anyone shed any light on this?
I have a Linckia Flora(mispell?) and he wanders the tank and scavenges what he can. He mealed on a dead snail for two days just recently, but I always try and make sure I throw some mysis shrimp near him when feeding. I am confident that they can smell very well, and will quickly move to food. In a big tank I think they need less attention, in my 29 I always like to make sure I know he gets fed at least once a week by me. Im no expert, but my star seems healthy.
