I have had very few corals since I started my reef tank. I am becoming extremely worried about a couple of pieces that I have in my tank now. One of them is a Torch Coral the other is similar to the torch but called exctasey or something. I will find out and post it. The "ex" one is producing a white stringy type slime. Almost as if it is dying. It has not opened in about 3 or 4 days. Although before that it was flourishing happily and was fully opened. Magnificently I might add. Is there any hope for it? Whats wrong? Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks, Kris

Kris, did you ever show up at my house at 7a.m. when all the snow melted and flooded my basement (I know a chris rennie in the DC area)?

How old is the tank and how long has this particular coral been in there--a lot of corals take a few days/weeks to settle in. It would be a good idea to check all of your chemistry as well and take a look at any significant changes that have recently happened to the tank.
