I have a small emergency question. On my 105g Oceanic RR the center brace has seperated on one side. I don't see any noticable bowing, but this has made me a bit uneasy. Any suggestions on what I should do? The dimensions of the tank are 48w x 18.5d x 28.5h.

Thanks in advance

I'd try to make a make-shift support using clamps and wood braced against the plastic edge of the outside to distribute the weight.

I had a friend this happened to, and he replaced it a few weeks after he noticed the break, and the tank was fine during that time. I would be extremely careful about adjusting and fiddling with things right now, and walk slowly around the tank... But start planning now how to replace it. On the bright side, it's a perfect time to upgrade :)

Thanks for the idea on the clamps. I placed two clamps so I can sleep better at night. I need to contact oceanic to see about the warrenty.

Definintely.. is this is a relatively new tank (under 5 years) I would absolutely get in touch with the manufacturer. Never owned one, but from what I've heard, Oceanic is a good company to deal with. Might be the perfect time to get a new, larger one :) Just ask them to credit what your old tank is worth, when they ship you a new one that's custom drilled :)
