Have you considered adding a detrivour kit?
This contains bristle worms, spagetti worms, mini brittle stars, amphipods, copepods, etc..., should help with your detritious problem. Check out www.inlandaquatics.com and www.ipsf.com You could also try blowing it off the rocks so it is in the water column and it may get picked up by your filtration(skimmer).

How about directing more flow to the rock surfaces and the sand to suspend the detritus in the water column to be pick-up by your overflow.

BTW, you could be feeding too much!

You should also use a turkey baster once or twice a week to blast the detritus off the rocks and in the crevices. Works wonders to keeping the tank clean.

I second the turkey baster(reefkeepers sixth finger

). Once those cleanup critters do their job, you have to clean up after them. Every two weeks when I do my water change, I blast my rocks at least once, sometimes several hours before. I've only had limited success with directing flow with powerheads, I still have to blast crap from underneath the brain and in between the green star polyps.
