I have a huge mass of feathery caulerpa in my tank for the seahorses. Yesterday it looked fine, but this morning most of the leaves look brown, now (4 hours later) the water is cloudy. What is the matter? Should I evacuate the fish, yank the caulerpa, or stop worrying?

Thanks, Cindy

If the water is all cloudy yhen chances are the caulerpa has gone "sexual".

Usually the caulpera goes white. Is the caulerpa now clear or white?
If its all brown then perhaps a massive die-off has occured?
Either way....it will foul the water. Do a search here on sexual or caulperpa for some rememdies.
