I hope someone can help me out. I am running an Icecap660 with 4 110Watt VHO bulbs. On Sat, the lights went out, after playing with connections a little bit, I was able to get them back on, but they were a dimmer than usual. The next day, the lights came on initially, but then went off for good about 3 hours later. I checked all connections again and everything seemed to be fine. I decided to let it go for the night and see if it would work tomorrow.
Well today they did not come on at all, I checked the fuse and it looks like it was blown, so I changed it, and it blew instantly. So I checked all the wires, and made sure the bulbs were in the endcaps secure, and they were. I tried it again, and nothing. Now, I am not an expert with electronics or anything, how would I know if the problem is the ballast, endcaps, or bulbs? If the endcaps are bad, should there be some visible sign that they are broke? What about teh bulbs? If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. I have had the ballast for about a year now and it worked perfectly. Please help!
Thanks,
Chaz
