I just had to fish my sally lightfoot out of my overflow. Any way to keep him from falling in? He can climb the walls, strangely enough.

It was no easy task getting him out, by the way.

Hi,esmithiii. I tie wrap eggcrate to the top of my overflows, if anything wants to get in them they would have to climb 5" out of the water. Hope this helps.

I have an AGA...the overflows are rounded... The eggcrate thing is a good idea horizontally, though. Any other ideas?

The local method is to have trinagular glass lids on top of overflows - they are mounted on glass rails so as to give a gap for the water to flow through - only the very smallest critters can get through.

What about a leash tied to a stake in your DSB.
