Hello,

I have had a colt coral that I got from a LFS for about 6 weeks. The coral is doing well and has spread it's base onto adjacent live rock, is wide open, etc....the only problep is that the very highest tips (maybe 3-4 out of 15-20) are starting to bleach out a bit (like 6-8 mm tips).

These are the highest in the water column and I was wondering if it could be due to the light? I only have 4 x 48 in VHO (3 white / 1 actinic) but I think its suspicious that its just these 3-4 tips that are the highest...any ideas?

Thanks (and water parameters are fine..)

Pat

I have cuttings from the same colt at the top of an 80 with 250 halides no problem. I also have them in a propogation tank under PC's no problem. I don't think lighting is a problem for these guys, but maybe the time you acclimated it before putting it to the top...

I would look into other things.
