Hello all,

A good friend sent me here in hopes of some positive feedback. Heres the deal. I have a 2 1/2 ft. Zebra Moray. Great moray. Anyway. My eel looks like it swallowed a 1 inch rock. I say that cuz an inch down the body has become inflated. The dite has been Krill mixed with Vitamins and Bits of crab.

To me it almost looks like how a frog gets before it lays eggs.

If anyone has seen anything like this ?

Please please reply.

My water levels are on the mark. I'm due for a water change. I don't want to disturb the tank till I have an idea of whats going on.

Thanks all,
Rob.

What's the chance you can get your moray out of the tank? If you could, you can place him in a cooler and send it to a vet for an x-ray to be sure of what exactly is in the stomach.

I have several morays, including a Zebra that is about the same size as yours. Although I have seen bloated stomachs before, it is always right after they eat (I feed them a variety of foods, including whole pieces of raw shrimp). But what your eel has sounds unusual. But I would still guess that it swallowed something large (like another fish). I do believe that once whatever he swallowed is digested, he will regurgatate whatever is left. Keep us posted, and good luck.
