I seem to have more than my fair share of little orangish flatworms in my 55g. What are some good smaller predators? Just have two other inhabitants, chromis and small sailfin tang, so I won't be overstocking. I would prefer something that will not grow too big for the tank.
Thanks

SeaScope volumne 18 summer 2001 (available free at most LFS) deals with this issue and predators in general it s says:

"The best way to rid a tank of flat worms is to introduce a mandarin fish(synchiropus splendidus) whicch will also consumeother micro-fauna in the tank"

"although leopard wrasses will eat flatworms they often must be dewormed for trematodes with flagle before they are introduced "

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply.
I am not sure my sandbed is populated well enough for a mandarin.... and I have never heard of a leopard wrasse, but the idea of a wrasse in general is interesting.
Any more ideas out there??????

Sometimes a six-line wrasse will eat them, but not always. They're pretty little fish, though, so it wouldn't hurt anything to get one to see if you're lucky or not!!
