my goby is a pain in the ass, he constantly sifts through my substrate, which clouds up my water and some of my corals and me are not too pleased about it, if I was you I would pass on him, unless he doesn't sift sand, cya and gl.
Hi Tim000,
Scott Michael's Marine Fishes book says that they eat meaty foods and brine shrimp. He also says that they can be quite aggressive towards other gobies and that larger specimens might go after other unrelated fishes like wrasses and assessors. I would do some reading to make sure that this goby will get along with other fish you have/will have in the future. They sure are beautiful, but beware . . .the book also says that he might eat ornamental shrimp.
