I think the title says it all. I was wanting to know what hours you run your lights in what combination? The reason I ask is that me and My wife work midnights and I want to know if it is bad for the fish to set the 12 hour cycle so it is on longer at night. Will the morning daylight with out the lights on be too much light for them and end up being lit too long?

Your tank is right next to a east facing window? Well, extra sunlight is always good for your corals, but make sure you get your algae under control.

My tank, being a part of office display, are on 12 hours a day M-F, Sat and Sun receives 3 hours of morning sun to the left side of the tank only. Refugium has 4 96W PC that is on 24 hours a day.

Couldn't you draw the blinds on the window or drape a curtain around the tank?

Your not going to have any problems. I run mine starting with the PC's at 11 am then at 1pm the halides come on. At ten PM the halides go off and at 11 pm the compacts go off. The moon light goes on from 11 pm till around 1 am. Yeah thats a lot of cords and timers but I was up later so I liked to see everything at its best. I am about to change then to come on a little earlier and shut off a little earlier since my schedule has changed. The corals won't know the difference as long as they get their share of light...
