Eco-Gorgs

I recently recieved 5 of these from Sea Critters and just wanted to say that if anyone is looking for Gorgonians you might want to check these out. These Gorgs are mounted to a pc of L/R (about a lbs worth) and therefore are easy to place in the tank, I was also impressed by the size of the Gorgs. I recieved my first shipment last week of 2 Muricea and 3 Pseudoptergorgia and noticed right away that there was a problem with the Pseudoptergorgia as they began to fall apart. After some investigation and talking with Teresa at Sea Critters it was discovered that she had tried to ship them with less water in order to save me money on shipping. What she did not account for was the rough handling of the shipping box which allowed these Gorgs to dry out which this species cannot tolerate. Anyway, upon hearing of the problem she immediately said she would replace these for free including shipping. I recieved these new Gorgs this morning and they were in excellent condition.

Did you get to pick out what you wanted, or do they just give you what they want. I have looked into getting something from them, but have never heard of someone ordering from there.

You choose the species you want but not the actual specimen.

I had considered ordering from them in the past but was discouraged by the fact that their on-line catalog has not a single picture on it of what they are selling.

Each item in their on-line catalog has a "details" button next to the catalog number, but clicking it brings up the exact same information as the catalog page -- just in adifferent format. Unless something's wrong with my Browser, there are still no product photos -- not even a thumbnail.

I found that very odd, and frankly it made them seem a bit suspect to me.

If they do have good products, I bet they'd have a lot more business if they'd add some photos on line. Whomever designed their e-commerce site certainly did them no favor.
