My Ph has gone up over the last year it use to be 8.2 to 8.5. Now it runs 8.4 to 8.7. I checked my calcium it was at 400. My DKH was 11. I run a calcium reactor. I get good coral growth, limited coraline because of the 400 watt MH bulbs. I see alot of air bubbles from the skimmer in the sump but turning it off for a day didn't lower it.

are you adding kalkwasser?
if so you might benefit from using the vinegar+kalk recipe instead of straight kalk.

I have two pin point monitors, one for my effluent flow and one in my sump to monitor my system ph. I can cross check them and they are both accurate.

Have you checked your test kit? I had two ph test kits, both showed high PH, (but not the same reading). I recently bought a pinpoint ph monitor and it is fine according to that. Just a thought..
