I am going to be converting over my 90 gallon cichlid tank to a reef tank and was looking for some ideas or pics of some established tanks. It is an All-Glass reef ready tank with a 29 gallon sump. I was wondering what some of you might use for successful lighting and any refugiums or other ideas that might be helpful.
Thanks,
Kendall

I would say MH/VHO lighting. Use a DSB with LR. A refugium would be nice if you have room in the sump. A top quality skimmer is a must.

oh yeah

AND PATIENCE! (Not a flame on Kirtis, honest!)

There are only a couple of items you'll be able to transition to a SW tank.
* - the tank itself, completely empty and clean with bleach
* - pumps maybe but make sure they are rated for SW use
Toss the gravel, the UGF if you used one, the canister filter, bio wheel and most likely the lighting.

Have fun, I did the same thing 7 years ago and never looked back.

I have an 80 with a 30 gallon refugium. Look at my link and the equipment page tells you more in depth. If you have any questions drop me an e-mail.
