I am having a difficult time to rid my 75 gallon tank of turf/hair algae.I removed all my rock and then scrubed all the algae off (best I could.)Of course it grew back.I also cut back the bio-load.I have a 4 inch sand bed loaded with life..I have a 55 gallon refugium in my basement.I was thinking of taking all the rock out of my main tank and cycling it without lights for 1-2 months.I hate to do this because of the coralline algae and other life in and on the rock.Does any one out there, have any suggestions.I started the tank about 4 years ago, fish only.Ph-8.2,temp78-82 deg.,cal425-450,alk-5meq/dl,phos-0.
