Is there a specific type of epoxy to use in the aquarium. Any kind to stay away from?

I am wanting to glue some rock work together and was wanting to be able to use something that can cure underwater without any ill effects.

All help and ideas appreciated.

Thanks!

I've used "AquaMend" from Home Depot on advice from this discussion board last year. It's made for underwater applications, and has been great in my Reef.

Don't know of any other brands....

I've looked everywhere for "AquaMend" and can't seem to find it anywhere.

Will ANY epoxy putting work in mounting frags and on rockwork? Is there certain epoxies I should stay away from? What should I watch out for?

There has got to be someone out there that knows this. I hear of people using "epoxy putty" all the time. But, there is hundreds of different ones to choose from and I can not find "AquaMend".

I got some at my LFS,its a two part epoxy that comes in a stick. Green on the outside and white in the middle. You break off a piece and mix it all together and voila. Of course I threw the packaging away and there is no name brand on the tube it came in. Ask your LFS and see if they have any.

Ya, but they do not have the brand "AquaMend". There is 2 different epoxy putty sticks. These are the two parters and sound exactly like what you guys are explaining, but have a different name. The underwater adhesives they carry are in a blue tube and state NOT FOR AQUARIUM USE really big.

I just don't want to try an off brand and end up nuking my tank. So, if anyone can post the ingredients or know of another safe brand of epoxy that would be great!!

I'll check with WDU this afternoon and see what they have.

Thanks for the help so far.
