Clownfish fry need something MOVING as a first food, to trigger their "strike" reflex.

Dead algae just doesn't work, even if it moves around in the current. They need something that is "wiggling"

Sorry about that.

Have you read Clownfishes by Joyce Wilkerson? I know she recommends using rotifers for newly hatched larvae and raises cultures of them on greenwater to feed the first week or so (I'd have to look at the book again to be sure) and then baby brine after that when they are big enough.

Not sure if they'd eat algea, they may. Haven't had any experiences of my own yet but that's what I've read so far.

Definate book to have if you are wanting to breed and raise your own Clownfish.

Hope that helps

I WANTERD TO KNOW IF THERE IS ANY EWASIER WAY TO FEED THE LARVAE AND ROTIFERS... SPECIALLY THAT FASE BETWEEN HATCHING AND THE AGE WHERE THEY CAN EAT NEWLY HACHED ARTEMIA...

BUT I GUESS I HAVE TO DO WHAT WILKERSON RECOMENDS...
