I was wondering if y'all scrape all of the glass or just the front? Personally I just do the front the yellow tang (Old Yellar) loves the extra algae and keeps it down pretty well. Well its late, night all.

I do the front and once in a while the sides. Never the back unless I have something growing there I don't want like slime algae. I don't even scrape the front too much anymore, as the coralline is growing there more than anything else and the snails need something to eat.

I ask because my yellow tang loves to roam around and pick at the algae but I have noticed on the front glass every time I scrape it within about a week it is completely covered in purple coraline, I think this would happen to the other walls but am worried about the yellow tang, any sugguestions. Please!

Come on dude. If this is true you have the fastest growing coraline in the world. you would need to chisel the stuff off every two or three months. Lets keep it real here.
