I have had my 20/g refuge set up for about 2 months now. all the macros are doing great but I have hair algae growing over the plants. Is this ok or should I try and remove this. There is no signs of hair in the main tank.
I have two 10,000k 55/watt pc on the refuge (just what I had left over from my thirty tank that has been torn down)
Two kinds of Caulerpa algae and some kind of fern in the refuge.
I have about 4.5" of live sand and about 6 total of different kinds of snails.
Is this hair algae going to be a problem or is it ok in the refuge?
Thanks for all the help

i have hair algea all over my refugium. you said it though(none in the main tank). i dont mind harvesting it out of the fuge. i think it helps keep it from spreading very fast in the main tank when its rampant in the fuge.

Pull it out to remove nutrients. It will grow back and you can do the same.
