Well, packed up the car, got a list from all my friends of what they wanted and took the 2 1/2 hour drive out to That Pet Place. What a waste of time. They are in the process of moving into a distribution center, and putting new shelves in the retail store, and the store had nothing. I wanted the 10 sheet package of seaweed selects, they had 1, frozen foods, the case was almost empty, they didn't even have floss. And the shelves had the bare minimum. I wish they would have said something on the website. And when I went out there last December, they didnt' even have IO salt or Tropic Marin buckets, needless to say, I won't be driving out there anytime soon, again. Just wanted to voice, and see if anyone felt the same.

I live an hour from there and your absolutely right. For the last 6months are more they have been slowly taking down old warehouse shelving and putting up retail shelving. It is taking them FOREVER and they dont get new supplies unless it is designated for the new shelves.
When they are done the store will be much nicer and will carry more items. But they need to also concentrate their attentions on thier recently remodeled Invert room that has become a house of death. Everything in there is on its way out. And no wonder..
I was there last weekend when they got shipments in from Tonga. I watched them take the bags of starfish, slit the bag and throw it in one of their tanks for acclimation. I guess they dont mind mixing this water from Tonga with thier systems since everything will die anyways.

i went in November and really couldn't believe what i saw. It was my birthday and my wife said let's go and we could make a day of it.
Empty shelves everywhere. They should have sent a flyer with their catalog or post something on the web. Heck, i've been buying from them since the early eighties but now i search around.
