I had some flatworms on my mushrooms and did I fresh water dip yesterday. It looks like the flatworms fell off however I think the mushrooms are dead.

How long does it usually take for them to recover if they're not dead?

I think I'm going to take a pic of them and post it....perhaps some of you can tell me if they look dead.

Is it shriveled up? It will take a couple of days to recover.

When it's dead, you will see the tissues disintegrate, sorta melted look, and the tissues is flaking away.

Did you match the temp and ph of the freshwater yesterday?

Im gonna post some pics of them. I used RO and matched the temp. The toadstool has recovered nicely and so has the ricordia mushroom. The others however are shriveled up but not flaking away.

When I battled FW I also dipped rock containing mushrooms and FWs in freshwater. The mushrooms took a few days to recover.

I had a huge flat worm problem in my tank about a year ago! It was in my refugium and they never were much of a probelm in the main tank. In the refugium I had them so bad they covered every square inch of rock and were all over!

I did nothing, and within 2 months all were gone and they have never came back. To this day I don't know why they died.

I did lose some of my mushrooms as during the dip they just fell off the rock. Im sure they found a new home but likely not in a place where I would like. Some have told me that you can super glue them to a rock but I have has little success with it.
