When my live rock arrived, it was covered in halimeda, but it all fell off during cycling. I think it is still alive due to tiny new growths (1/8"). It has been two months, so how can I get it to grow back to its original beauty?

Yes it will come back. I ripped nealy all of mine out (I had a lot) and I could just barely make out little stumps. Now, its about 2 weeks later:

It's >2 inches.
Please ignore the micro algae, it's a new tank

That's gorgeous! I hope mine does that well. Its been about two months since I put the rock in the main tank.

I had the same problem. It took about 4 full months for mine to grow back and now it is going gang busters.

Growing back depends upon whether your alkalinity and calcium levels are up to par.

Alk should be at the very least: 2.8meq/l
Calcium should be at the very least 400ppm

Also it depends if there is enough of it left to grow or if it died out totally.
