I just bought a CSL 400watt metal halide setup(used) and it has a Radium HRI-T 400 watt Blue bulb in it. Anybody ever heard of this bulb or any specs on it? I was told it was an aquarium bulb of great quality...
I am putting this on a 55 gallon cube reef tank. Would somebody please help me out. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a 20K German bulb, but I may be mistaken, I'm not a fan of those high K bulbs so I don't follow them too closely.

Hmmmm... Sounds like a high kelvin lamp to me, you're not going to get a ton of usable light out of it, comparing it to a 400w Iwasaki lamp. On the other hand Dr. Mac grows all kinds of colorful SPS under 20k halides, i'd send him an e-mail and ask what lamp he uses.

I'd go for a 10k or if you have actinics a 6500k lamp. But then again, maybe you're a big fan of blue! Fire it up and see what it looks like!
