A Anonymous Guest Rating - 0% 0 0 0 Jul 31, 2001 #5 I have no idea what species of snail it is. Some type of whelk. From observation I would say that it is not reef safe. I think it eats the tentacles of my ivory tube corals. The wife likes the snail, so it stays and the coral grows back quickly.
