For those that take fishie-pictures with their Nikon 880s, I have a few q's...

1. How large of a resolution do you use when you do the extremely close macro shots?

2. How long does a single battery last you?

3. How long of a movie can you take, and is it lengthened when you have a large flash card?

Thanks in advance.

Peace,

Chip

I have the 880 so I can help a bit.

I always use the highest resolution - takes up more memory card but I transfer my picks to the computer re-size and then the ones I keep transferred to a zip disk. You will get a better quality picture by using the higher resolution.

These cameras will eat up batteries like popcorn. If you don't have a rechargeable battey get one. The regular batteries cost around 12.00/each around here and will last maybe 20 pictures using the flash. I purchased 2 rechargeable batteries.

The length of the movies is determined by the resolution you use and the size of the flashcard.
I have a 128mb card that will take around 160 pictures and about a 2-3 minute movie.

Okay, thanks. I do have a 128MB flash card, so that's what my results will be, as well. I think my power button crapped out already on the stupid thing! Either that or the battery is already dead. If it's the latter case, then I'll be investing in more rechargeable batteries with the charger.

Thanks for the help.

Peace,

Chip
