My LFS has very large turbos in stock that they call Mexican Turbos. Does anyone have any experience with these? Do they knock over your corals? They are about the size of a half dollar, and really seem to be cleaning the glass and powerheads in the LFS's tanks.

I work in a LFS and the mexican turbos or turbos for that matter knock over everything. I would suggest astrias, black or red foot snails insted.

Thanks for the reply. They looked pretty clumsy to me. I don't want any of my precious corals in danger!

Turbos are great for mowing down hair algae, but once that's under control I prefer ceriths to keep things clean. They're smaller and knock things over a lot less than the turbos. You just need a lot of them.
