Glass sump craked

My glass sump cracked and 2/3 of the water is on the floor ,what can be a quick fix I was think of aquarium silicone it states that it cures in 5 mins but you should wait 48 hours before filling with water??? I have to move my tank in about 4 weeks do to major reovations to my house if this was going to happen this was a good time .Do you think the silicone will hold ????

The longer you wait the better, at least 24hrs if i were you. Get a rubbermaid for now. You should also strip out the old silicone and apply new one, just applying new silicone in top of old one is a patch that will fail again. Is this like a fishtank you're using for the sump, if it's cost effective, maybe just buy a new one. But that's up to you, depends on the fix required.

Yeah its a 20 gallon long I can't change it until I move the tank because the only way for me to take it out is moving the tank.what size rubbermaid will my good?

It's a horse shoe crack toward the bottom of the tank I am going to try the silicone .

jt the advice pedro gave you was the best. don't try and repair it. buy a plastic tub or large rubbermaid and put your stuff in there.

yeah there is no way I can repair it there is two big horse shoe cracks and the glass is pushing out I am going with the plastic tub until I have to move the tank .when I maded the sump about 6 weeks ago the baffles were two long and I just push them in and the the tank glass was bowing out a little .

yeah you live and learn ,as I said before I am doing major stuff to my house I would have been pissed if this happend after my hard wood floors were down right now I had about 10 gallon of saltwater on 30 year olded carpets .
