Great Scallop Search-Aug 25. This may be a bit off topic, but for those in FL who might be interested. I suggest you participate. Basically you snorkel or dive transects combing the seagrass for bay scallops. Usually the visibility is not great but you get to see all sorts of other life in the process. If you don't have aboat you can join someone else. The tally is used to help track the health of Tampa Bay. It is a volunteer effort.
