Splash of Life (Some of you remember this mail order/LFS coral place, in Elgin) re-opened this weekend. I swung by. Brett gave up on the retail storefront biz/partnership (Advanced Aquatics). It's back to the the original form, like shopping a coral wholesaler. (www.splashoflife.com Lame web site, nice place)
Bought a few large acros. The place is rebuilding. Lot of very nice LPS and softies. Many SPS frags, but I grabbed some of the nicest largest SPS
He's adding another new 4'x34' (or so) tank, and then a second building. This is a great place to keep an eye on. This used to be the best place in the Chicago area.
I have a feeling it's only going to become better. Much better.

(On the down side, my 7 year old son swiped the store owner's kid's toy truck, and is thoroughly grounded for a few days. The place is 2 hours away to return the toy truck! )
