Skimmer Question

Is there any way to reduce the amount of bubbles that a skimmer pours back into the tank? I have a US Aquarium hang-on venturi-skimmer and it pours way too many bubbles back into the tank. The company claims that it's not supposed to if you "condition" it somehow. I remember doing something with it when I first got it 3 years ago, but I forget what it was and lost the paper. Well anyway, I've tried cleaning the reaction chamber and adjusting the air/water mixture but it still pours them in. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You need to slow down the water with something to get the bubbles out. I used a thin filter pad to trap the air and slow down the water when I used a berlin hang on skimmer.
