have you considered a PM HOT-1? I know a lot of people like them better than the Remora Pro and its cheaper to boot. I like mine now that I figured out how to set it right

FWIW I got mine at marine depot, so with free shipping I got it delievered to my door for something like 175.00. There was also a good thread awhile back comparing the Remora Pro vs the PM HOT-1, might want to try searchin for it, that was how I made my decision when I got mine

mtellin, I saw one site and they recomend the senator 900 thats quite a big powerhead to be in a tank 2 much heat in my book, I was thinking on using a Dolphin PondMaster 385 also at marinedepot, is this pump sufficient for this skimmer, one guy even uses the maxijet1200, thanks again.

Ive only heard to use a maxi-jet 1200 with venturi attachment on the HOT-1, thats what I use and couldnt be happier, lots and lots of bubbles in the column

Did you order it with the sen 900 pump? I have never seen anyone recommend that large of a pump for the HOT-1 so if you did please let me know what you think and also how loud it is so I can decide if I want to upgrade some day
