About three weeks ago I took delivery of the 9 for $99 special from IPSF.In the bag with anthelia polyps there were at LEAST 20 tiny aiptasia.At first I was wondering if it was 2 different kinds of anthelia,surely it couldn't be aiptasia.Well after placing the shipment in my quarantine tank, they are absolutely aiptasia.I was extremely pleased with the rest of the order but in my mind I'm thinking he had to know what was in that bag with the anthelia.Anybody else find this?

I got a aiptasia on my anthelia frag as well. I added peppermint shrimp to my tank just to be on the safe side, I wish the peps would eat anthelia as well
. That stuff is a true weed coral, make sure you keep it under control, give it it's own rock to grown on, one that can be easily removed and trimmed.
I too got aiptasia from there or so I believe. I caught it early on and trew in a peppermint shrimp and that was that. Now the shrimp is getting bold and taking flake food in the day time. I do have to say even with getting the aiptasia, I'm very pleased with my order from IPSF.
I've only been in the hobby for four years but I've learned to quarantine/examine absolutely everything that goes into my reef. I once ordered some macroalgae from a different mail order source (NOT IPSF) and I found a bunch of aptasia attached to the macro. I didn't even know they did that. Now I check/quarantine everything.
Me too. Had two tiny aiptasia. The rest of the order is doing great. I already had peppermints in my tank. Hope they take care of the problem. Next time frags will sit in my ten gallon. Can aipstasia be diifrent colors? I put some ruble from PA and there appears to be a beige one poping out of the sand?
