Is his live rock cured? If it isn't could I cure it in my new tank that has nothing in it but sand and water?

Has anyone had problems with Mantis shrimp or other bad hitchickers on his rock?

Thanks for your help

If all you have is sand and water, putting in uncured rock is ok. I purchased 50lbs of fiji live rock fresh in the box from jeff, and it was chock full of life--nice macroalgae, polyps, sponges, a small spiny oyster (!), some encrusting SPS, tunicates, and most importantly, no aptasia! But, as with all things your mileage might vary. I think that if you get the uncured rock straight from the box it was shipped in from Fiji you'll end up with more life on it. Good luck!

Thanks NKT for the information on the live rock.
I feel better about mail ordering live rock.

I got 90lbs from him for my 125 and he has great stuff. Had him ship it to the airport closest to me to save a bid of cash. Now I want to add some more and my tank has been up since june so I have to go to someone local, so it can go straight into my tank with any die off (from there tank to mine less than 2 hours). You should be fine with his stuff. Bought most of my fish from his also. Great stuff.
