I just plumbed my sump to an external pump. Is the casing usually pretty warm to the touch? It's running fine, but I just wanted to make sure this is normal.

Some pumps will run warmer than others. Example I have a Quite One that ran hot and trans that heat to the tank. Now I have a Ampmaster3000 that doesn't hardly get hot and very little heat transfer.
