Sea Swirls

Are these pumps worth the money? Do you have to have a pump to work them or are they like the Gemini? I have a Gemini but unable to get parts for it???

Sea Swirls are not pumps; it is more like a rotating nozzle. You will need to have a separate pump to drive it.

I just bought 2 Ocean Currents. They are about 1/2 the price, but works for 10 minuets at the time.

I am sending them back and getting the Sea Swirls instead, it's more money, but more reliable. I guess you get what you pay for.

toptank, the seaswirls need a pump.Most people use the return pump, or a pump on a closed loop.They rotate by a small motor that's enclosed, and sits on top of the tank.The only thing visible in the tank is the output nozzle.I have two 1" seaswirls on my 180g mounted on the sides (end) of tank.

This is what I've been trying to tell you from the start

Use a smaller pump for sump return. This way you can get rid of all those sponges and micron bags you have in your sump to help get rid of the bubbles

Use two 1" SS's with the Amp Master on a closed loop.....

I have been reading some bad things about those Gemini pumps. What happen to yours?

First thing you need to do is get that tank out of the closet so you can get some air circulating around the tank....

Sorry I missed you at Jeff's today.. Are you still VHO only?

Mark I have been waiting for you to come down here as I had you a nice room at the marina.

No I have 3 x 250 6,500K w/ 2 x 140 Super Actinic. I have enought air going around the tank believe me

I got only 2 things from Jeff today as I am going to re-stock slowly. 1 montipora I talked him in selling it to me as it was in his display tank. looks nice. Keeping fingers crossed

PS Mark a plastic part broke and after trying for 6 weeks to get the part, still waiting.....
