I want to know what products have had good success. I'm looking for what to use for dkh/ph, calcium, Kalkwasser, etc. I do water changes and have good magnesium levels but still am constantly adding "stuff". I use all one brand that is popular here in Fl - NatuReef. Too much work. Looking for something more consistant.
Any feed back would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim.

Me too, I concur less is better. I add Tropic Marine Biocalcium on weekly basis. I add Kent Lugol, Mg, & Sr sparingly. But if you ask me, I'd say Biocalcium should be all that's necessary.

hey,

check out oceansblend. It is manufactured by a hobbiest here in florida, and is very good stuff. I was one of the "test subjects" and my reef LOVES this stuff. Its just like b-ionic, you dose a little of each of 2 parts in this morning, and in a few weeks, I noticed marked improvment. Check out the website, there are pics of tanks that use it.

Well, B-Ionic is cheaper.....But Tropic Marine "claims" that BioCalcium is more than just Calcium and bicarbonate. Claims that it contains all other trace elements in proper proportion

I dose kalk nightly for all evaporative losses. I don't add trace elements or iodine, which I believe are supplied by the food you feed the fish.

I just started using Reef Solutions by EcoSytem. It has everything you need except for Calcium. So far so good. I had been using Seachem products but mixing all the different stuff got old fast.

I'm a believer in "less is better." I dose B-Ionic daily for Calcium and Alkalinity (37 gallon softy/LPS tank). It's very quick and easy.
