Well, tonight is the World Series unbelieveable action and fishtank questions!!! Why is my bubble coral shrinking and looking as if one side is dying? Every day I think I will get rid of it and then the next day it seems to be trying to recover. This has been going on about 2 weeks. I am scared it will dye fash like my plate coral and polute the tank. What should I do? I have had it about 6 months with no problem until lately.

Hmmm. When does this occur? Bubble corals shrink at night naturally.

Do you feed it? If not, you should. If so, it might be eliminating waste.

They shrink up from time to time.

Is there too much current on that one section? Mine doesn't like current at all.

I agree with some of the other posts...possibilities could be expelling waste, night-time feeding mode (decreased surface area), or most likely, too much current for it. Pleros are really fond of low flow. Also, they don't usually succumb quickly like Heliofungias like wondered earlier. Good Luck

Patricia,
If you supply more info, we might be able to provide more than just wild guesses.

Tank size, water parameter, filtration, lighting, other inhabitants, recent trends, equipment & livestock changes. That's good for a start.
