hello! I'm gonna have 4 vhos on my future 90. how high above the water should they be? do I need to have a fan? the hood has an open back for the heat to escape.

I currently have 2x4' VHO's and about 170 watts of PC's. I need a fan pointed at the lights and another directly in the sump. My hood is only 6 inches and it gets pretty hot during the summer so I need both fans, but I would think with a bigger hood and cooler weather the fans would not be necissary. Basically it all depends on your other conditions, but it most likely will raise the temp a few degrees.
