Well after weeks (going into months) of getting everything in place, cycling the system, getting the growth under control and identifying every resident we could (and a lot came in on our rock), we went out last weekend and bought our first fish (a Royal Gramma, with which my wife was instantly enamored). He took to the environs immediately, but unfortunately in doing so, and after just a few days, gave his life in locating a never before seen crab. Considering the crab was bigger than the Gramma, we can't imagine how it went unnoticed for such a long time, but obviously such things can happen.

Ahhh, the diversity of the marine environment….

hehe....Be very careful, there may be more of those....and some can nip at whatever comes too close to their claws. Better be ready to make a crab catcher now!!
