I dont have much experience with inverts so I would appreciate a little advice. I want to add an invert or 2. I have a 46g bow with about 60# LR and a coral banded shrimp that has been in there 4 or 5 months. Other than that I have a bunch of snails and 3 small hermits I havent seen in a long time. thanks guys.

I purchased a package from a web site and have had relatively good luck. The only really negative thing is they sent me the wrong shipment the first time so I got some starfish that I don't think my tank was ready to handle. However, I had to introduce them to at least give them a chance. A couple are doing well. That being said, I really like my red legged and blue hermits. There are always some in view and they are very active. My snails do a good job with the algae too, although I have sadly lost a few (out of 25) in the first 2 weeks. Other than that, I got 3 emerald crabs (some people hate them) and a sally lightfoot which I love. My Coral Banded shrimp is quite small and I want to add a cleaner shrimp as well, but I don't want any fighting. I say go for it, buy a package for your tank size, you'll be surprised how much it helps in general housekeeping and how cool the inhabitants are.

I appreciate the help. You made me rethink exactly what I wanted to put in, I was thinking along the lines of shrimps or crabs (I really enjoy watching the coral banded and just really wanted to see a few more guys like that). I know for that size tank I cant put 2 in and I know if I put something like an arrow crab in they would fight. So of the things that are availible to me which would be compatible: small hermits, cleaner shrimp, peppermint shrimp, sally lightfoot, emerald crabs.
