Reefing is a great escape or stress reliever for me. I start cleaning my tank and the next thing I know it's like four hours later. My house may be a total mess, my lawn may not me mowed or raked, my clothes may ne dirty but my tank looks good.

Sometimes I wish I had just spent all my money on crack, at least that is an affordable addiction. Maybe someone would have seeked help for me if I didnt hide my habit.

On the bottom of my reef lies my wallet and my brain. There resting and i dont think there going to get up again.

P.S. the other thing i like about this hobby is that if i got robbed, i know for sure that the reef won't get nicked.

hehe... let me tell you a story

a couple months ago, my office got burglarized. Cops were guessing about 3-5 people break into my office. The entry glass door were smashed. The second door that leads to the main office has been "chopped" in half by something heavy and sharp. We guessed probably an axe. Several of our workstations and flat panel monitors were taken. Obviously these burglar were pretty knowledgeable about computers that they took all transformer adapters and cables too. (some flat panel monitor require special adapters to work....and the burglar know that too). In addition, they managed to find and took away the hardware driver CD's for the mentioned workstations.

What's funny is that my tank is at the front entrance lobby. Right next to the door they chopped down. There are enough critters that the aggregate livestock value would easily top mid to mid-high 4 digits. Even the dual 400w pendant metal halide lamp and transformer worth more than the workstations they took. Our workstations are patheticly cheap computers that the fastest is no more than 350Mhz. The most they can sell for is probably $200 a piece. Big deal! We are not afraid of data loss as all data are stored on servers, not workstations.

Lucky for you they were nerds and not reefer heads! HAHAHAHAHA! Nice to see that the replacables got stolen and not the invaluables.

agree with you on the planted tank, I have several FW tanks and they all are as interesting as the SW, IMO......
That's why this hobby is so great, there is so much variety in what you can keep and so much to learn about!

Looks like your work knows you didnt bust in and steal the "mentioned" computers and special adapters and drivers. Imagine your companies suprise if the "mentioned" reef tank was taken by 3 to 5 men at night. I once knew a man who said heroine ruined his life after he started jacking liqour stores. Dont worry all us reefers are still sane.
