I saw an article about this in the wall street journal today. Banned everywhere. It looks alot like caulerpa mexicana or feather caulerpa. are they the same thing?

I read that article today as well. I find it hard to believe that any fish that eats this calurpa dies. I think they might be trying to blame the calurpa for fish loss and not the polutants they dump all the time.

It is still a problem because it is not in its natural niche.
